Bridge to Nowhere
Nikon D60
In a remote spot of Northwestern Ontario wilderness, that shall remain unidentified, sits a bridge. It really isn't a 'bridge' in the traditional sense, as it spans no visible obstacle or has any evident purpose. However, if you walk this crude bridge, beginning at the north tip (as it runs north to south), and proceed to the other end without touching ground, it becomes a bridge of a different sorts. I was here in 1979 with several family members. Two walked the bridge and disappeared before our eyes as they were transported... somewhere. Those family members who remained behind never speak of that day. I returned there last year to find only silence.
